After your application is submitted

After your application is submitted

1. Your account gets added to a list of accounts that have requested internet and voice services. This list is passed along to the contractors we have hired to run service drops to your home or business.

2. Our contractors attempt to install all drops to locations within a specific geographic region rather than skipping from account to account. The timing of when your application gets submitted to NT Spark may impact their ability to run your drop at the same time your neighbors receive service.

3. After the service drop is completed, the account is given to our home install crew to finalize installation. This company will contact you to select a time that works with your schedule to complete the installation. A contractor will have to enter in your home or business to install the equipment you need to receive service.

4. Please understand service installation is not a quick process. We do everything possible to speed things up, but with hundreds of other accounts requesting service at the same time, it may take 1-3 months for us to complete the installation. It helps to get your application submitted as soon as possible.

Service Installation

Our contractors typically follow power into your home. If you have an underground service then we will mark this service, come several feet off the service, and follow the electric service to the side of your home. Overhead basically runs the same way. We install our cable under the electric service line running to the side of your home. Our contractors will also install a small gray box within a few feet of your meter base. If you have any other preferences, please contact your local office as soon as possible to let us know. Special requests will be considered, but it may delay the activation of your service. Flags may be provided on request if you wish to mark any existing underground facilities that we need to be aware of. Just drop by your local office to pick some up.

You need to find a centralized location within your home for our contractors to install our wireless router. A centralized location ensures that our wireless system can reach every square foot of your home or business.

NT Spark follows the industry standard of

NT Spark follows the industry standard of issuing a monthly service bill ahead for fixed services. Your first bill will include two components: It will include the charges for the current month prorated according to the date service began. It will also include the full monthly charge for the next month of service. After your first bill, you can expect your service charge to be consistent month to month.

Internet Speeds

Subscribers that sign up for gigabit service will typically see speeds of 500 - 600 Mbps through a wireless connection and the maximum 1 Gig (1,000 Mbps) speed when plugged directly into our wireless router. We deploy the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology so what you are getting is the most robust wireless network available on today’s market.

Commercial Services

Large commercial services may have very particular needs that will have to be addressed on a case-by-case installation. If you think that your account has specific, specialized needs, please provide us with a summary of these needs when you submit your application. We may request a site visit based on your anticipated needs.
